To very important tips to choose your products on Clickbank.

I always choose a product with Earned$/Sale over 15$, so i can have a margin to spend on PPC campaigns.

The most important thing when you are choosing a product is the GRAVITY, beacuse it tells you how many people are selling with success this product. You need to choose one with good gravity but not the TOP one, why? Because the TOP one (400-500-600 Gravity) is a good niche but is VERY BUSY and i can assure you that you going to spend a lot of money on PPC campaigns with this kind of products, because of the competition, all the affiliates are selling this product and this market is full.

So you want to find products with gravity between 100 and 200, this products have a good conversion rate (there is people selling it) and is not a really busy market, so you can make a diference with your PPC campaigns without spend lots of money!

There is a lot of products with this range of gravity, you don’t need to sell te TOP ones, you will fail trying to make profit where all the affiliates over the world are fighting to the same advertising space on yahoo or google or wherever, try to choose one normal niche and use your best known to find the targeted people to buy this product, you will have much more success.

Lets review some of the aspects that we can see when we are searching for a new product to promote, when you make a search on the marketplace of CB you can see this details of each product:

Lets review this aspects:

1. $Earned/Sale: Average $ amount earned per affiliate when some referred customer buy (Sale).

2. Future $: Average of total rebill revenue earned from a this publisher. Almost always is the sum of all the monthly bills.

3. Total $: This is the Average $ per sale, how much the customer is going to pay.

4. %Referred: Porcentage of publisher’s sales that are just referred by affiliates.

5. Gravity: Number of distinct affiliates who earned a commission by referring a paying customer to the publisher’s products.

The best way to find long term keywords, is to think a little bit outside of the box, for example, if you are promoting Satellite TV on PC software, what most of the people does is go to a pay per click and they look for keywords like “satellite on pc”, “satellite tv on pc”, “watch tv on pc”, etc. But this kind of keywords are really expensive and you will need a very good conversion rate % to have success!

What i do, lets say i want to promote this product (Satellite TV on PC), so instead of bidding on keywords directed related (and very expensive) i try to find other ones more cheap, lets do a little example, i make 2 groups of keywords:

GROUP 1: Watch, Enjoy, Discover

GROUP 2: US Open, Spain News, Soccer, Nhl

GROUP3: PC, Computer, Laptop, Notebook, Home Pc

So next i use a keyword tool to mix this 3 groups and make more keywords, this tool is very easy and your result will be something like:

Watch  Spain News on PC
Watch  Soccer on PC
Watch  Nhl on PC
Enjoy US Open on PC
Enjoy  Spain News on PC
Enjoy  Soccer on PC

So you can make each group of 10 keywords, and you will have 10^3 keywords = 1000

So you will be able to reach more people, still beeing targeted and im sure you cost will be lower than bidding on the mainly keywords!

After a few days working on my CPA Campaign, i saw some results, here are my report to my campaigns (im running 2) on HydraNetwork

This report is from 28/09/08 to 30/09/08

So im running 2 campaigns they pay me per e-mail submit ($3) and the other one pays me on signup ($8).

My R.O.I in this test was little up of 100%, in average im paying $0.12 per click on my Yahoo Search Marketing Campaign and if you check the eCPC my cost per click was $0.26 so im close to 100%.

I will explain how i am doing to get this cost per click in my Yahoo campaigns in the next post.

But as you see there is success there, you only need to work and test test test and keep testing!
